The Houses of Parliament, Fog Effect

London dissolved: fog as the matter of time. Parliament is no more than a violet silhouette in the Thames fog (1903, 81 × 92 cm, MuMa, Le Havre, artist's gift 1910/1911). The same motif, another hour, another world.
